SUMMARY Excite Lethbridge is a non-profit organization focused on event development and attraction, bringing local, provincial and national communities together in the heart of southern Alberta. Anchored out of the 268,000 sq. ft. Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre, Excite Lethbridge enhances event development for the community and works to expand trade and convention opportunities, bringing more events and visitors to the region. Excite Lethbridge also produces the events the community knows and loves, including Whoop-Up Days, Ag Expo, the Lethbridge & District Pro Rodeo, Lethbridge Farmers'' Market and more, while also partnering with the Lethbridge & District Agricultural Society to support agriculture events and programming in the region. Reporting to the Director, Event Development, the Coordinator, Community Engagement is responsible for community outreach and relationship building with key organizations, stakeholders and community leaders. Working collaboratively with all departments of Excite Lethbridge, the Coordinator will maintain and deliver community partnerships for Excite Lethbridge, following the vision of organizational strategic plans. Further, this position will work closely with the Event Development team to ensure that all internally produced events are enhanced through community engagement. Ensuring that Excite Lethbridge continues to identify as a community connector, the Coordinator, Community Engagement will develop and execute communication plans, events and programs that support the goals and mandate of Excite Lethbridge. KEY WORK ACTIVITIES Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to develop and execute strategies that keep external community stakeholders informed about Excite Lethbridge. Manage guest lists and invitations on behalf of Excite Lethbridge, ensuring alignment with the organization''s voice and strategy. Lead stakeholder relations, including the creation, implementation, and execution of programming and partnership development. Manage all organizational community investment opportunities, including sponsorship and donation requests. Lead the design and delivery of all community programming across the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre, and other areas as assigned. Act as a visible representative of Excite Lethbridge at community events, championing the mandate of the organization. Proactively engage in the community by meeting with partners, organizations, and stakeholders. Event & Programming Development Collaborate with the Excite Lethbridge Event Development team to develop and deliver strategic community programming for all internally produced events, including Ag Expo, Lethbridge Farmers'' Market, Whoop-Up Days, Lethbridge & District Pro Rodeo, and others. Cultivate and steward relationships with key partners, vendors, and stakeholders to help meet all event targets and goals. Administrative Support Provide administrative and strategic support as needed to the Excite Lethbridge Leadership Team as required, including the preparation of contracts, materials and project summaries. Assist with various projects assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and/or other members of the Excite Lethbridge Leadership Team, including Director, Event Development. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Operate primarily in a standard office environment, with the ability to extend and/or work evenings and weekends as needed during programs and events. Maintain physical mobility for extended periods during events, including walking, standing, and unrestricted movement. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Hold a diploma or bachelor''s degree in business administration or a related field. Bring a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in community engagement, marketing, communications, event development, or a related field. Support and collaborate closely with key stakeholders and partners. Offer experience in the events and entertainment industries (considered an asset). Knowledge and Abilities: Work independently with sound judgment, discretion, and a high degree of professionalism. Communicate exceptionally well in writing and verbally, with experience preparing reports, materials, and correspondence. Build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups through strong interpersonal skills. Use Microsoft Office Suite proficiently and navigate digital communication tools and cloud-based file management systems with ease.
