Innovative Food Brands Ltd. (IFB) is an independently owned company that currently oversees management and franchising of The Chopped Leaf. Currently we are looking for a new Procurement Specialist to join our growing team! Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for assisting with sourcing, negotiating and managing vendor relationships to secure the best quality ingredients, packaging and equipment at competitive prices. This role is critical in balancing cost efficiency with brand standards, ensuring franchisees receive consistent and reliable supplies to operate successfully. Vendor Management: Assist with identifying, evaluating and maintaining relationships with key food and packaging suppliers and distributors such as Sysco Contract Negotiation: Assist in negotiating pricing, terms and service agreements to optimize cost savings while ensuring quality Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with operations and franchise partners to forecast demand and align procurement with business needs Quality Assurance: Assist in ensuring all products meet brand standards, food safety regulations, and sustainability goals Inventory Oversight: Work closely with the distributor to monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock Risk Management: Assist in assessing and mitigating supply chain risks, including distribution, compliance issues and vendor performance. Reporting & Analysis: Track procurement KPIs, prepare cost analysis, reports and recommended improvements Procurement Execution: Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs); process invoices; ensure orders match requests Analysis: Analyze market trends, demand, and spending to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve strategies Collaboration: Work with internal teams to understand needs and resolve issues The successful application will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field 3+ years procurement experience preferably in food service, hospitality or franchising Strong negotiation and contract management skills Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance Excellent communication and relationship management abilities Analytical mindset with attention to detail and cost optimization Proficiency in MS Office Suite If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please send your resume to [email protected].
