You will also ensure our teams are producing high quality deliverables, day in and day out.We are currently hiring for a 12-month fixed-term opportunity.We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.Apply now and grow your career with our technology team as a Senior QA Analyst.What you'll do as a Senior QA Analyst/QA Analyst-III: Determining the requirements for deploying new features and functions to developer and test environmentsAnalyzing and identifying gaps in test coverage, and designing test cases and test scenariosBeing the quality champion by ensuring the team is following the proper acceptance criteria, leveraging the right test cases, and adhering to QA standardsCollaborating with cross-functional teams (onshore/offshore teams)Validating work in production and signing off on deploymentsDocumenting, triaging, investigating, and re-testing bugs and failuresAutomation scripting and maintenance, as well as running the execution and analyzing the resultsWhat we're looking for: 5+ years of experience in planning, designing, developing, and testing software2+ years of leadership experience with initiatives and/or projects2+ years of experience creating automation in Java or another similar language2+ years of test automation experience with Java, Groovy, Selenium, or any relevant scripting languageHands on experience with automation testing across API's, UI, micro services, frontend and backend systemsComprehension of data structures, data manipulation and system process flowsSolid understanding of how to apply QA methodologies and processesExperience working in an agile/scrum environmentWhy you'll love it here: Remote-first work environmentEmployee discounts on awesome tech from day oneFlexible health benefits and wellness programTFSA and RRSP programs100% matched company pension planTraining programs to build new and transferable skillsAbout Best Buy As Canada's destination for the coolest tech, Best Buy offers one of the best work environments in the country!
