Program Session Dates March 1620, 2026 Training & Orientation (Mandatory) Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (Evening)Saturday, March 14, 2026 (Full Day) Campers at Appleby experience an exciting week of discovery, friendship, sports and fun! Appleby College offers Discovery Camps, Arts & Media Camps, Science & Success Camps and Sports & Adventure Camps. Applebys scenic 60-acre campus provides outstanding academic, art and athletics for all its camps. Responsibilities Supervise assigned camper(s), learning their name(s) on the first day and always knowing their whereabouts Foster a sense of community within assigned camper group where individuals care for/are mindful of one another Provide 1to1 or 1to2 inclusion support to campers with exceptionalities Create programming to integrate campers with exceptionalities into camp activities Communicate regularly with parents of assigned camper, providing regular feedback about campers experience at camp Provide support to the Instructors, helping to ensure that camp activities are inclusive to all participants Correct and redirect inappropriate camper behaviours Participate actively in all camp programs where appropriate, based on needs of assigned camper(s) Follow all Appleby College Camp procedures and policies, including Applebys Mutual Respect policy Participate in all required training related to Health & Safety Qualifications Completed secondary school prior to the start of the camp program Experience working with children with special needs or behavioral exceptionalities Experience providing programming or care to persons with disabilities Experience working/volunteering with children in a camp setting is preferred Educational background in Special Education, Personal Support Worker (PSW), Developmental Services Worker (DSW) or Therapeutic Recreation considered an asset Additional training in mental health first aid, crisis intervention, PSW, DSW is an asset Excellent time management, organization and communication skills; teamoriented, motivational, creative, energetic and enthusiastic Bronze Cross and/or NLS certification in lifeguarding is an asset Work Schedule Training & Orientation (Mandatory) Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (Evening); Saturday, March 14, 2026 (Full Day) Program Hours Monday: 7:15a.m.4:15p.m.; TuesdayFriday: 8:15a.m.4:15p.m. Before and AfterCare Additional shifts may be scheduled: BeforeCare 7:158:15a.m.; AfterCare 4:155:30p.m. Workplace Requirements Criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening (18+) or declaration for those under 18 Standard First Aid and CPRC (valid until end of contract) How to Apply If you or someone you know wants to learn and grow this March Break, please apply online by January 5, 2026.
