Job Summary:FreshcosProject Manageris responsible forservicing multi-site clients across Canada and the United States. With 3+ years of hands-on experience in blueprint reading, scope of work (SOW) interpretation, and take-off preparation, the Project Manager is well-equipped to lead projects with minimal oversight. They are accountable for preparing, planning, and executing awarded projectsthroughcompletion, including the billing process. The Project Manager also plays a key role in negotiating rates, cultivating strong relationships with clients and contractors, and ensuring consistent delivery ofFreshcoshigh standards. As a leader, the Project Manager professionallyrepresentsFreshco with all internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Responsible for ensuring all information is entered andaccuratein the Freshco internal database system.Maintains detailed notes, follow up dates, vendor information,estimating,bids, contracts, financial details, and documents.Lead projects by independently managing complex project scopes,demonstratingsoundjudgement,and trusted leadership across teams.Developaccurateand detailed cost estimates for the project, which is essential fordeterminingthe overall project budget, securing financing, and ensuring that the project is financiallyviablebased on review of the project plans and specifications.Develop project plans and schedules, setting milestones, preparing Ganttchartsand ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.Manage project budgets, trackingexpenses,and ensuring that costs are kept within budget.Including changes to project scope, timelines, or budgets, ensuring that any changes are communicated to all stakeholders and that work is completed ina timelyand efficient manner.Responsible for completing closeout activities, including final inspections, punch list items, and turnover to the client.Overseeing constructionResponsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the required quality standards, and that any defects or issues are promptlyidentifiedand addressed.Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure quality, timing, and adherence to standards.Manage site communications and issue resolution.Negotiate technician / contractor rates, price increase requests, ifrequired.Responsible for recruiting new vendors into the Freshco network and vetting all requirements for successful onboarding.Responsible for selecting and managing vendors and subcontractors for projects, including negotiating contracts, and ensuring that work is completed to the required standards, pricing, and schedule.Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with applicable regulations and codes, and that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained for construction projects.Serve as a point of contact with clients, and other stakeholders:providing updates on project progressHandle escalations with confidence, provide strategic input, and represent the project team in high-level discussions.Work closely with site operations teams to ensure that projects are completed in a way that minimizes disruption to site operations and that new sites can open on schedule.Identifyand manage risks associated with construction projects and develop contingency plans to mitigate any potential issues that may arise.Mentor and develop talent:Actively Support, Project Managers and Coordinators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.Contribute to the development and refinement of project management standards, tools, and best practices to elevate team performance.Inspire and lead by example with a leadership mindset,settinga high bar for excellence, collaboration, and accountability across the organization.Expected travel throughout Canada and the US based on job site location and volume.All travel will be approved by management.After-hours (night and weekend) work may berequiredin addition to regular day work.Works from office, remotely, or the job sites following Freshcos policies and guidelines.Collaborate with all internal divisions and leadershipteam.Skills & Qualifications:3+ years of hands-on project management experience.3+ years of experience interpreting blueprints, understanding scopes of work (SOW), and performingaccuratematerial and labor take-offs in a retail construction environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent client service and interpersonal communication abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional email and call etiquetteareessential.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Experience using QuickBase, Service Channel, or other CRM/CMMS platforms.Strong attention to detail, criticalthinking,and solution-oriented decision-making.Conflict resolution, escalationhandling,and negotiation skills.Adaptable and eager to learn and meet the changing requirements of the position.Motivated by impact and team collaboration.Apply today!
