JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Director, Technology & Security, is responsible for shaping and executing SaskPowers enterprise wide information technology, digital innovation, and physical and cybersecurity strategies. The role ensures a secure, reliable, and integrated technology environment that supports corporate priorities and enables employees to access and share information effectively. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Strategy, Technology & Finance and will have four Technology & Security Directors as direct reports. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Develop and implement technology and security strategies aligned to SaskPowers business plan. - Advise and lead Technology & Security departments and directors to achieve corporate objectives. - Operate and maintain secure technology infrastructure, including information systems and operational technology. - Lead centralized security operations for both physical and cyber security. - Ensure integration between business applications, operational technology, and information systems. - Develop and maintain recovery strategies for critical systems to ensure business continuity. - Prioritize technology initiatives based on business needs and resource availability. - Build and maintain partnerships with vendors and external organizations to strengthen technology and security posture. - Provide leadership and development opportunities for direct reports and foster a culture of innovation and accountability. - Other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. A Masters degree is preferred AND/OR; - Related Professional Designation(s) and/or certification(s) AND/OR; - 12 years of progressive leadership in technology and security, with expertise in operational systems and continuity planning. - Energetic leader with presence, credibility and proven ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork. - Capability to conceptualize the impact of change and ability to foster innovative business practices in a continually changing environment. - Ability to clearly formulate and communicate strategies to address SaskPowers future in the Utility industry. - Ability to impact, influence and engage stakeholders while building and maintaining partnerships both internal and external to SaskPower. - Results oriented and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage complex and confidential issues with extreme sensitivity and professionalism. - Ability to develop and foster growth in others, while holding people accountable. - Knowledge and understanding of current industry, economic and social trends. - Demonstrated skill in SaskPowers competencies. - Must have a continuing record of professional development. A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
