Hartmann Young are partnered with a fast-growing Contract Research Organisation to appoint a Head of Oncology.This is a strategic leadership hire to build and lead the Oncology therapeutic area, driving scientific, operational, and commercial excellence across oncology programmes. The role will shape the CROs oncology strategy, strengthen capabilities, and act as a senior partner to biotech and pharmaceutical clients.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop the Oncology therapeutic area across clinical development programmesDefine therapeutic strategy, capability development, and scientific positioningProvide senior scientific and operational oversight for oncology trialsPartner with business development and operations to support client engagement and programme deliveryAct as a senior oncology expert in client discussions, proposals, and governance forumsBuild and mentor high-performing oncology teamsRequirements:Senior leadership experience in oncology within a CROStrong knowledge of oncology drug development and clinical trial executionProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and complex programmesCredibility with senior client stakeholdersStrong strategic, communication, and decision-making skills
