Job Profile: The Sr. Automotive Electrical Engineer Battery Electric Vehicle creates production drawings, writes technical specifications, troubleshoots electrical systems and performs predelivery/postdelivery acceptance testing for new or existing Battery Electric Vehicle equipment. The position will be working in our application engineering group that develops continuous Battery Electric Vehicles for the mining industry. Primary Responsibilities: - Maintain expert level of product and application knowledge with respect to the companys mining equipment - Provide integration of and contribute to the design and programming of systems - Provide design and specification development support to Production Engineering and Sales - Assist in the design and development of new products and tools as required - Manage the technical documentation of the department according to departmental procedures. - Manage accurate electrical schematic drawings using Zuken E3 CAD design software - Harness drawing design and implementation - Assist both Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers in the design of the equipment and in determining methods and actions to remedy malfunctions or manufacturing shortcomings - Field Commissioning and troubleshooting of Prairie Machine E&C systems Qualifications: - Completion of a BSc. Engineering degree - Minimum 10 years of experience - Relative BEV and Mining experience - APEGS P.Eng. certification or ability to obtain Additional qualifications that would be considered an asset: - Background or interests in mobile mining BEV machine electrical and PLC control systems - Experience working in an Autodesk environment, (Vault Manufacturing and Zuken E3) - Battery module design and protection - Panel Layouts and interconnections - Experience with ERP systems - EV Drive Systems - PLC systems IFM, Sevcon drives - HMI systems, Grayhill, IFM - CanBus communication protocols - Programming in: Structured text, Ladder logic, Function block #J-18808-Ljbffr
