Job DescriptionOur client is in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industry, located in the GTA. They are currently seeking a Finance Manager who will play a key role in supporting financial planning and performance management alongside the Sr. Manager of FP&A. This is a high-impact role that will directly influence strategic decision-making, cost optimization, and financial visibility across the organization.Your expertise in cost accounting and operational financeparticularly within a manufacturing environmentwill be critical to our clients success. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in FP&A, experience with standard cost accounting, and is highly proficient in SAP and Excel.What our client has to offer:Excellent compensationA plus benefits packageOpportunity for growthResponsibilities:Create annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support both emerging initiatives and core business operations.Evaluate monthly results against financial targets across key cost areasmaterials, labor, and overheadhighlighting performance trends and delivering insights to senior leadership.Communicate manufacturing financial performance, major variances, and key risks/opportunities through clear, concise reporting to executive stakeholders.Administer and refine standard cost processes in SAP, ensuring accurate cost tracking for raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods.Perform detailed cost variance analysis (e.g., purchase price, usage, yield, labor efficiency, overhead absorption) and collaborate with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities.Partner with cross-functional teamsSupply Chain, Production, and Engineeringto assess financial impacts of process improvements, new product introductions, and capital investments.Provide strategic financial support for pricing evaluations, cost reduction efforts, and initiatives aimed at improving product margins.Develop and manage financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analyses, to support decision-making for manufacturing strategies and operational planning.Offer financial oversight and guidance for major business initiatives such as plant expansions, outsourcing assessments, and make-or-buy evaluations.Enhance forecasting, budgeting, and reporting capabilities through improved use of SAP and other ERP and analytics tools.Lead continuous improvement efforts and promote financial best practices across the FP&A function.Qualifications:CPA designated5+ years experience in an FP&A settingMust have a cost accounting background from a manufacturing environmentProficient in SAPInterested and qualified candidates please apply today.
