Join our team as a Payroll & Administration Manager! In the Payroll & Administration Manager role, you and your team will be the go-to experts for payroll, benefits, and company-wide administrative operations. Youll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while working closely with the rest of our People and Culture (HR) team to strengthen how we support employees across Canada and the U.S. This role is ideal for someone who brings energy, curiosity, and confidence to a fast-moving environment. Your responsibilities: Leadership and team support - Delegate tasks with clarity, help your team of two stay aligned, support managers with questions and escalations, and keep our policies front and center. Payroll Management - Lead all payroll initiatives across the organization. Review submissions, maintain payroll accuracy, administer benefits, and train managers with confidence. Manage biweekly Canadian and U.S. payroll cycles, each on alternating schedules, resulting in weekly processing (U.S. payroll one week, Canadian payroll the next). Policy, Process, and Compliance - Lead updates to onboarding materials, audit employee files and benefits, and ensure we remain compliant with federal, and provincial/state laws and best practices. Software Administration - Serve as the Super User for Payworks, PayChex, and DocuSign. Recommending more efficient ways to work, maintaining SOPs, and helping employees get the most out of our systems. Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to enhance payroll workflows, strengthen internal documentation, and ensure that processes are consistently followed across all locations. What we offer: Competitive compensation starting at $60,000 annually.
