Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Logistics Coordinator to plan, organize, schedule, and coordinate logistics activities across our operations. In this role, you will work closely with Production, Project Managers, site crews, customers, and external suppliers to ensure finished products and equipment are transported safely, on time, and in the most cost-effective manner.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment and takes ownership of seeing tasks through from start to finish.QualificationsQualifications & ExperienceHigh school diploma requiredMinimum 5 years of related logistics or industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceTraining in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and knowledge of U.S. logistics requirements considered an assetSkills & CompetenciesTeamwork: Strong ability to collaborate and act as a key link between Production and sites/customersFlexibility & Adaptability: Comfortable adjusting to changing production, site, and customer demandsOwnership: Takes initiative and follows tasks through to completionStrong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skillsDetail-oriented, patient, and focused with strong communication abilitiesTechnical SkillsProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with Tekla Powerfab, Bluebeam, ERP systems, database management, and/or scheduling software is an assetWork Environment & Physical RequirementsManufacturing facility environment with dust and moderate-to-loud noise levelsPPE required (hard hat, safety footwear, etc.)Regular sitting, talking, and hearing; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 20 lbsVision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusResponsibilitiesCoordinate with Project Managers, Production, site crews, customers, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of products and equipmentPlan and manage transportation timing, routes, and modes using both in-house and external resources cost-effectivelySchedule pick-ups and deliveries for production, purchasing, construction, maintenance, and accounting departmentsCoordinate painters, loaders, and drivers to ensure products are coated, loaded, and shipped on scheduleVerify painting, loading, and trailer configurations against bills of lading before release from the facilityReview orders and shipment contents prior to dispatchPrepare accurate bills of lading, shipping documents, permits, and customs documentationEnsure all transportation activities comply with safety regulations and permitting requirementsComplete purchase orders and coordinate timely delivery and pick-up of finished itemsSupervise and coordinate logistics staff (e.g., truck drivers) based on availability and shipping needsResolve transportation, import/export, customer, and logistics system issuesNegotiate transportation and logistics charges with suppliers and customersMonitor packaging and labeling accuracyProvide backup support to purchasing, production processing, quality, and inventory managementPrepare accurate reports for managementFollow company policies, procedures, and processesContribute to safety, quality assurance, LEAN initiatives, continuous improvement, and a respectful workplaceAdditional InformationStable, full-time hoursOpportunity to work closely with operations, production, and project teamsRole with real impact on efficiency, safety, and customer satisfactionSupportive team environment focused on continuous improvement100% employer-paid health and dental benefitsOn-site parkingGreat team cultureEmployee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)Pension plan availablePaid time off #J-18808-Ljbffr
