Overview Our science summer camps are handson, fiveday camps that run for eight weeks from June29 to August21,2026. Camps are a collaborative effort between various departments in the Faculty of Science and provide an enriching experience for local youth. Day Camp Leaders will be required to lead educational, scientific demonstrations and activities for children in grades111 and to supervise the student campers throughout the day. Location Inperson at NorthCampus, Edmonton. Position ends August21,2026. Responsibilities Summer camp preparation (5 weeks before camps begin): designing and creating activities, assisting in classroom setup, and training. Science activity design and instruction. Daily supervision of up to 24 students alongside coleaders (handson activities, tours, breaks, lunch). Leading freetime and break activities/games (inside and outside). Registration signin/out duties every day. Qualifications Enthusiastic, creative, caring, mature, and conscientious university students (ideally continuing in Fall2026), preferably with prior experience mentoring young people and designing and delivering educational programs.
