Job Description

We areseekinga skilled and detail-oriented Specialist to join our Commissioning/Startup team. The ideal candidate willpossessstrong technicalexpertisein industrial commissioning, electrical systems, and mechanical processes. This role involvesstarting upand troubleshooting complex processing facilities/machinery, ensuringoptimaloperation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Specialist will play a critical part inmaintainingsafety standards and operational efficiency across ourprocessingfacilities.Work location vary between Northern Alberta and Northern BC.DutiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on process equipment, including MCC instrumentation, machines, sensors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&ID's drawings to troubleshoot electrical, instrumentationand mechanical issues.Conduct electrical work involving low voltage systems and ensure compliance with safety protocols.Utilize industrial electrician experience to diagnose faults related to sensors, motors, switches, and other electrical components.Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades to existingMCC VFD & PLC systems.Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime andoptimizeequipmentperformance.Assistin training team members on new equipment or maintenance procedures as needed.Ensure adherence to safety standards andparticipatein safety audits.RequirementsProven experiencewithprocessing equipment, electrical systems, or related fields withinhydro carbonenvironments.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, P&ID, schematics, sensors, and PLC hard wire architecture.Experience withPLC control systemand low voltage electrical work is highly desirable.ProficiencywithBluebeamfor schematic interpretation and modifications.Proficient with MS Excel/Word and Projects for scheduling and outage planningAbility to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues efficiently.Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams.Electricalknowledge combined with hands-on experience instartupactivities.Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Relevant certifications or technical training in industrial electrician work orinstrumentationpreferred.Ability to organize and manage a team of experts through outage and startup. #J-18808-Ljbffr
