Event Manager Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) - Toronto Ontario (Hybrid) The Organization: The Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) is dedicated to supporting the best and brightest scientists conducting cancer research in Israel. With a strong presence across North America, ICRF funds groundbreaking research that contributes to global progress in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. The Toronto Chapter plays a vital role in fundraising, donor engagement, and community outreach to advance ICRF''s mission. The Role: The Event Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating a portfolio of ICRF Toronto events, including revenue-generating fundraising events and friend-raising/engagement initiatives designed to cultivate relationships, expand our community, and deepen donor engagement. The 3 annual signature events include: Woman Of Action, ICRF Presents and Revolving Tables. This role requires a strong background in fundraising events, donor experience, and event strategy, with the ability to align events to broader development goals. Responsibilities Event Strategy & Planning Plan and manage a diverse calendar of events, including: Fundraising events with defined revenue targets (Woman of Action, Revolving Tables and ICRF Presents) Friend-raising and engagement events focused on cultivation, education, and community-building (e.g., salons, health series) Develop event plans, timelines, budgets, and run-of-show documents Ensure each event supports donor stewardship, prospect cultivation, and fundraising objectives Fundraising & Donor Engagement Work closely with the development team to integrate events into overall fundraising strategies Support sponsorship development, donor recognition, and stewardship at events Track event outcomes, including revenue, engagement metrics, and follow-up opportunities Understand donor motivations and tailor event experiences accordingly Execution & Vendor Management Manage venues, vendors, speakers, and production elements Oversee on-site logistics, guest experience, and volunteer coordination Ensure brand consistency and high-quality execution across all events Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with marketing and communications to promote events and ensure strong attendance Support post-event follow-up, reporting, and donor communications Work effectively with Co-chairs, Committees, Board Members and volunteers involved in event leadership Qualifications Education: Bachelor''s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field Experience : 5+ years of experience planning and executing large-scale or flagship events (nonprofit preferred), with additional experience in fundraising and/or development considered an asset. Demonstrated experience producing fundraising events with revenue goals Strong understanding of friend-raising vs. fundraising and how each supports donor lifecycle and organizational growth Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience working with donors, volunteers, and senior leadership Familiarity with CRM systems, specifically Donor Perfect and event tracking is an asset Why Join ICRF Toronto This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in advancing life-saving cancer research while shaping impactful donor experiences and community engagement initiatives.
