Temporary Retail Associate Pawticular March 9 April 2 MondayThursday | 10:00 AM 7:00 PM Opportunity for future short-term or temporary work, as available Date Posted: May 21, 2025 Pay: $16.00/hour Job Type: Part-time (Temporary) Work Location: In person Position Overview Pawticular is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Temporary Retail Associate to join our team from March 9 to April 2 (must be available for the full period): This role is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys working with customers, and can confidently work independently. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store, assisting customers in finding the right products for their pets, and completing occasional end-of-day deliveries as requiredall while contributing to a positive and fun shopping experience. Availability Requirements Applicants must be able to work independently for the following shifts: March 9 April 2 MondayThursday | 10:00 AM 7:00 PM Including holidays Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service, including product recommendations and pet care advice Assist customers with product selection and pet-related inquiries Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment Complete occasional end-of-day deliveries using a personal vehicle (delivery time compensated) Work independently to open and close the store Opening Duties Include: Arrive on time and prepare the store for the day Unlock doors and disarm the security system Turn on lights, heating/AC, POS system, and laptop Ensure the cash register has appropriate change Inspect cleanliness, restock shelves, and check promotional displays Confirm inventory is organized and new stock is properly placed Closing Duties Include: Ensure all customers have left the store Clean and tidy the store (sweeping, wiping surfaces, organizing merchandise) Count the cash register and record transactions Restock and organize products for the next day Turn off lights, secure doors and windows, and set the security system Requirements Genuine love for animals and interest in pet care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and responsibly Basic math skills for cash handling Ability to lift and move products as required Reliable transportation (car required) and ability to make end-of-day deliveries (delivery time will be compensated) Previous retail or pet supply experience preferred but not required How to Apply If you are passionate about pets and interested in joining a friendly and dynamic team, please send your resume and cover letter, along with reference contact details, to: We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the Pawticular family Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 per hour Benefits: On-site parking Work Location: In person
