Job Summary The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory control, efficient warehouse operations, and reliable material availability to support production and customer fulfillment. This role focuses on warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, stock movement execution, and continuous improvement of material handling practices. The ideal candidate combines strong attention to detail with hands-on operational leadership to ensure Stesco''s warehouse runs safely, efficiently, and accurately. Duties Inventory Management & Control: Monitor system-generated inventory reports to identify stock discrepancies, shortages, overages, and slow-moving materials, and take corrective action. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, reconciliation, and root-cause investigation of variances. Ensure inventory locations, labeling, and storage methods are consistently maintained to support efficient picking and replenishment. Support customer service and production teams by ensuring material availability and timely internal fulfillment. Analyze historical inventory data to identify trends in Usage patterns, Seasonal fluctuations, and Obsolete or slow-moving stock Assist in establishing inventory policies for minimum/maximum stocking levels and storage standards. Warehouse Operations & Coordination Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping. Maintain clear warehouse layout and location control to optimize space utilization and material flow. Lead and participate in cycle count programs and annual physical inventory. Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper material handling practices and adherence to documented procedures. Monitor workload distribution and assist in prioritizing warehouse tasks based on operational needs. Ensure shipping and staging areas are organized to support on-time customer deliveries. Process and Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material flow. Assist in developing and documenting warehouse procedures, work instructions, and training materials. Support implementation of warehouse-related ERP system enhancements and reporting tools. Promote health & safety best practices in all material handling and warehouse activities. Experience Post-secondary education in Operations, Logistics, Business, or related field. 24 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or materials coordination within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or data visualization tools is an asset. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse teams and cross-functional departments; proven experience as a team leader Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence.
