Owen Sound Gardens is in the heart of picturesque Owen Sound, in the County of Grey right on Georgian Bay. We are seeking a kind, responsible and thorough person to join our housekeeping crew. Housekeeper Owen Sound Gardens Location: Owen Sound Employment Status: Full and Part-time Evening shift: 3-11pm Duties: This position is a Full time housekeeper with responsibility for cleaning the Residents'' Rooms and Common Areas of the building. Must be friendly and kind, appreciating seniors. Position reports to the Environmental Services Manager and carries out the daily cleaning schedule independently through the day. Maintains all equipment in a clean and working fashion. Reports issues with equipment to management promptly. Monitors environmental safety conditions and handles all supplies in a safe and clean manner. Follows established policies and procedures of the housekeeping department. Actively participates in, and contributes to, the Home''s Fire Safety, Pest Control and Infection Control programs. Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act. Must have the ability to handle basic maintenance tasks if required. Qualifications: Completed at least grade 10 or equivalent. Must be able to move heavy objects (up to 30lbs) and to stand, crouch, bend, kneel and be in good physical condition to be able to be on your feet through the majority of the shift. Must be able to follow written and oral instruction in the English Language. Must have excellent customer service skills. WHMIS training is an asset.
