Our work environment includes: Modern office setting Growth opportunities On-the-job training Flexible working hours As a general assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our executives on a daily basis with an array of tasks. You will also provide administrative support, such as answering phones and taking messages. In addition, you should be able to communicate well and be reliable. Responsibilities: Supporting immigration lawyers in their daily work. Specifically, participating in client call and client consultations, preparing consultation notes and following up with potential clients after the consultation. Processing clients'' applications, including, collecting documents, organizing documents, completing immigration forms, and drafting supporting documents Conducting research to ensure processes are current and appropriate documents are being used. Checking for updates on processing requirements and timelines at the appropriate government organizations. Updating and maintaining internal Client Management Software systems and databases daily to ensure that all communication records are available and organized; Notifying clients of upcoming extensions, and changes in processes or procedures. Complete all tasks assigned by manager, both administrative and managerial. Schedule and maintain appointments (meetings, presentations, conferences etc.). Answer incoming telephone calls and direct calls to appropriate person/department. Determine and forward priorities of numerous telephone calls, requests and emails on daily basis. Job Requirements: University Degree/College Diploma. MUST also have a Diploma or Certificate as a Paralegal, Law Clerk, or Legal Assistant, RCIC 1-3 years of experience in Canadian immigration consultancy Excellent command of the English language, with outstanding writing skills. Master in drafting with the ability to generate creative submission letters. Time management, as well as the ability to complete a tough portfolio. Detail-oriented and team player. Organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits: On-site parking Work Location: In person
