Learn more about the opportunities we create at The Work Integrated Learning Officer is a key contributor to the growth and sustainability of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at Bow Valley College, with a primary focus on non-credit programs. This role will be part of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBE) funded initiative. This role will actively promote and engage industry partners in field placement and capstone projects. The WIL Officer will work closely with academic partners to ensure a positive and seamless experience for faculty, students, and industry partners by securing partners, coordinating work integrated learning. This role also carries the responsibility to work collaboratively in developing growth and sustainability plans, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring accurate and timely Funder reporting. Industry Outreach and Engagement Meet specific industry milestones and targets identified throughout the RBC initiative. Work closely with our industry partners for field placements and capstones across multiple programs. Develop a lead generation process between faculty and other internal staff. Bring awareness, engage, promote and secure WIL for non-credit programs. Build WIL opportunities - co-development capstone projects and field placement opportunities to meet workforce needs aligned with WIL programs. Conduct market labor analysis and make recommendations of the feasibility of sustainability and growth in non-credit WIL programming. Create the operational plan to implement and sustain field placements in BA programs. Coordination of Work Integrated Learning Create a seamless end-to-end process, keeping in mind the user experience for faculty, students, industry partners and industry collaborators. Coordinate WIL and as the main liaison between the multiple faculty partners, students, and organizations. Collection of work integrated learning documents from industry and students. Troubleshoot and support Riipen platform users. Coordinate field placement and capstone projects, communication flows, confirmations. Devise the plan for sustainability, growth and expansion of non-credit WIL beyond the RBC initiative. Consistently monitor, identify areas for improvement, adjust and improve. Support students to have a successful application process. Data Management and Reporting Create survey and feedback activities that align with RBC deliverables. Ensure survey participation targets are met. Collect, compile and review feedback for reporting, assessment and improvement. Complete accurate and timely funder reporting, and others upon request.
