We are currently seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and people-focused Safety & HR Coordinator to join our team in Calgary. What You''ll Do Safety Program Responsibilities Coordinate Lux''s health and safety program in compliance with Alberta OHS legislation and COR standards. Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; recommend corrective actions and track safety metrics. Maintain and update safety documentation, procedures, and records, including SWPs, JHAs, PPE requirements, and emergency response plans. Support WCB claims, modified work programs, and regulatory reporting, including right-to-refuse processes. Organize and deliver safety orientations, training, certifications, and committee meetings; promote a positive safety culture. Coordinate contractor and visitor safety programs, fleet safety initiatives, and compliance monitoring. Collaborate with supervisors and teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations. Stay current with evolving safety regulations, standards, and best practices to strengthen Lux''s safety program. Human Resources Responsibilities Coordinate and support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer letters. Support onboarding and orientation for new team members, ensuring a strong introduction to Lux''s culture and safety values. Maintain accurate employee files, HR documentation, and HRIS data. Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers on policies and workplace practices. Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events. Contribute to HR projects such as process improvements, HRIS implementation, and policy updates. Support compliance with Alberta Employment Standards and HR best practices. What You Bring: Demonstrated passion for creating a positive and engaging employee experience while supporting a safe workplace culture. Experience leading safety initiatives and program administration in a manufacturing, construction, or trades environment. 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing, construction, or trades environment. Hands-on experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes, including candidate selection, orientation, and new hire integration. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and OHS regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems. A collaborative, approachable, and people-first mindset with a passion for building a positive and safe workplace culture.
