The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting various HR functions and initiatives, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, HRIS management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Employee Relations & Compliance Management Act as the frontline point of contact for employee relations, handling inquiries, complaints, and disputes to foster a fair, transparent, and trusting work environment. Ensure full compliance with Canadian federal and provincial labor laws and regulations (e.g., employment standards, health & safety, human rights, privacy) and lead the localization and updating of relevant policies. Manage union relations (where applicable), lead or participate in collective bargaining, and prevent and resolve labor risks. Performance & Compensation & Benefits Management Implement the global performance management system at the factory level, coaching managers on goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews. Manage the local compensation structure, conduct market salary benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and internal equity. Administer employee benefit programs (e.g., insurance, pension) and optimize and communicate them effectively to employees. Training Development & Cultural Integration Identify skill gaps within the factory and organize training programs in technical skills, safety, quality, leadership, etc. Promote the embedding of the Group''s core values and Minth culture within the overseas factory, plan employee engagement activities, and foster cultural integration and effective collaboration between Chinese and Canadian teams. Support the career development of key talent, including creating development plans and succession planning. HR Operations & Projects Oversee the accuracy and efficiency of daily HR operations, including personnel data, employment contracts, attendance, and separations. Lead or participate in the implementation of global/regional HR projects at the Canadian factory (e.g., HR system rollout, engagement surveys, leadership development programs). Factory Administration & Logistics Management Oversee daily administrative affairs for the business unit, including meeting management, visitor reception, document circulation, and office environment planning and management (5S maintenance), to create a tidy and efficient office atmosphere. Manage the allocation, maintenance, safety, and hygiene of accommodation and dining facilities for expatriate employees, as well as commuter shuttle arrangements. To qualify for this role you must meet the following: Education & Major: Bachelor''s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Work Experience: 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP, with mandatory hands-on experience in a Canadian manufacturing setting (automotive or auto parts industry preferred). Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding and practical application of Canadian (specifically the province of the factory''s location) labor laws and regulatory frameworks. Recruitment Capability: Proven successful track record in recruiting for technical and production/operations roles in manufacturing, with extensive local recruitment channel resources. Language Skills: Fluent in English (working language) and Mandarin, capable of acting as a bridge for communication between Chinese and Canadian management teams and cultures. Personal Attributes: High business acumen, strong communication and influencing skills, excellent problem-solving ability, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced and uncertain environment. Key to being successful in this role: Experience supporting HR setup from factory establishment to operational phase. Experience in handling union relations. Experience working in HR for a multinational corporation or a Chinese company''s overseas subsidiary, with an understanding of matrix organizational reporting structures. Why work for Minth?
