Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Parts Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of parts within our dealership or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong supply chain knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts department, supporting both customer service and internal maintenance needs. The Parts Manager will lead sourcing efforts, manage vendor relationships, and utilize ERP systems to optimize inventory levels and procurement processes. Duties Manage the entire parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution to ensure availability for service and manufacturing operations. Utilize ERP systems and CMMS software for accurate data entry, inventory tracking, demand planning, and procurement activities. Develop sourcing strategies by identifying reliable suppliers and negotiating favorable terms to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards. Coordinate with dealerships, suppliers, and internal teams to fulfill parts requests efficiently. Oversee purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement of parts in accordance with demand forecasts and production schedules. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics. Supervise warehouse staff operating forklifts or other equipment necessary for handling parts movement. Monitor supply chain trends and implement improvements to streamline processes and reduce lead times. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Collaborate with mechanical teams to understand technical requirements for sourcing specialized parts such as HVAC components or manufacturing equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in dealership parts management or a related supply chain role within manufacturing or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, CMMS software, and data entry procedures. Experience with purchasing, procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and negotiation strategies. Mechanical knowledge relevant to automotive or industrial equipment is highly desirable. Familiarity with supply chain management practices including inventory control and vendor relations. Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment; certification preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data management and record keeping. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with suppliers. Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus.
