Join the Team at Sushi Toshi Location: North Edmonton, AB Position: Front-of-House Host Shift: Afternoon/Evening (3:00 PM Closing) Required Experience: 2+ Years Restaurant & Customer Service Are you a high-energy professional who thrives in a bustling atmosphere? Sushi Toshi is looking for a dynamic and organized Host to be the face of our restaurant. If you can balance a ringing phone, a seating chart, and takeout logisticsall while keeping a smilewe want to meet you What You''ll Do As our Host, you are the ''air traffic controller'' of our dining room. You aren''t just seating people; you are managing the flow of the entire evening. Master the Floor: Be creative with seating arrangements to maximize capacity without overwhelming the kitchen or servers. The Hub of Communication: Multi-task between high-volume phone calls and welcoming in-person guests. Takeout Management: Expertly pack and double-check takeout orders for accuracy and manage third-party delivery tablets (UberEats, SkipTheDishes). Team Coordination: Act as the primary link between the front door and the floor; clear, constant communication with servers and bussers is essential. Problem Solve on the Fly: Gracefully handle wait times, guest special requests, and de-escalate high-stress situations. What We''re Looking For Experience: A minimum of 2+ years in a restaurant environment and customer service role. Availability: Minimum of 4 days per week (must include 3:00 PM to Closing shifts). Reliability: A strong track record of punctuality and professional demeanor. Physical Stamina: Ability to stay on your feet for long shifts in a fast-paced environment. Certifications: Valid ProServe certification is required. Skills: * Proficiency with POS systems. Strong multi-tasking and organizational ''ninja'' skills. Ability to communicate effectively under pressure. Strong telephone skills Bonus Points Previous experience in a high-volume sushi or ''All You Can Eat'' environment. Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi varieties. Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 7 30 per week Work Location: In person
