Job Purpose Reporting to the Program Manager Sustainable Infrastructure, Corporate Property Services, the summer student will assist the Corporate Property Services department with various architectural and engineering tasks. This role is multi-faceted and will support MBLL''s various initiatives under energy and sustainability, space planning and accessibility. Job Responsibilities Energy Management support: Conduct simple energy walk throughs of the LMs looking for energy saving opportunities and documenting general building condition, equipment condition and operations. Assist with data entry of utility information, simple building information and creation of energy models of sample LMs using RETSCREEN. Assist with documenting our utility meters and coordinating them with utility account information and inputs from EnergyStar/RETScreen. General plan updates: Assist with reviewing MBLL properties against on-file AutoCAD floor plans to capture and correct discrepancies. This may require on-site measurement and redrafting to update. Review drawing folders to identify outdated and duplicate files. Assist with providing as-built drawing files to other departments as requested. Assist with reviewing and revising egress plans, capturing any changes and updating the egress plans as required. Assist with seating plan updates to capture any changes to assigned seating within each department. Accessibility Audit: Assist with reviewing MBLL properties to identify potential accessibility issues. Additional Projects (as time permits): Artwork tracking: Update and digitalize the master artwork inventory. Casino Greenspace at CRC - Develop a plan to utilize the hardscape areas around CRC and turn them into natural green areas. Options include urban parkway, carbon sink, stormwater mitigation, etc. Primary Qualifications University faculty and course(s): Architectural/engineering technology from RRC or Architecture/Environmental Design from U of M. College/Vocational Program: Architectural/engineering technology from RRC. Skills Required: AUTOCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), . Ability to read and interpret design/construction drawings. Research, written communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical, organized and resourceful.
