About Us Nav Architects Inc. is a growing architectural design firm based in Mississauga, Ontario, specializing in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial projects across Ontario. We are expanding our residential division with a focus on large custom homes, additions and renovations, basement legalization, ADUs and garden suites, and single-family to multi-unit residential conversions. We are known for our permit-driven workflow, strong technical delivery, and practical, code-compliant design solutions. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Architectural Designer with strong hands-on experience in large custom homes (5,000 sq ft and up), basement legalization, and single-family to multi-unit residential conversions. This role is ideal for a technically strong designer who is comfortable managing complex residential projects from concept design through building permit approval and construction documentation. You will work on high-value custom homes and residential intensification projects across Ontario, requiring a solid understanding of zoning, building code, and municipal approval processes. Project Types Large custom homes (5,000+ sq ft) Basement legalization projects Single-family to duplex, triplex, and multi-unit conversions Major residential additions and renovations Key Responsibilities Conduct site visits and prepare accurate as-built drawings Develop concept designs, 3D models, and client presentation drawings Prepare complete permit drawing sets compliant with Ontario Building Code (Part 9) and municipal zoning by-laws Prepare documentation for Committee of Adjustment submissions Manage residential projects from concept through permit approval Required Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology Minimum 3 years of hands-on Ontario residential experience, including: Large custom homes (5,000 sq ft and up) Basement legalization and single-family to multi-unit conversions Strong working knowledge of Ontario Building Code (Part 9) Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) Ability to manage projects independently Valid Ontario G driver''s license and access to a reliable vehicle What We Offer Work on large, high-end custom homes and complex residential projects High level of responsibility and project ownership Long-term growth opportunities within a growing firm Competitive compensation based on experience Stable and consistent project workload How to Apply Please submit your resume and portfolio (if available) to: Job Type: Full-time Pay: $34,400.00-$75,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
