Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse residents. Seniors requiring specialized care such as dementia, hospice, or acute care. The RPN will play a vital role in supporting resident supports, comfort, and well-being through skilled nursing interventions and compassionate service. Duties Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and established protocols. Monitor patient vital signs and observe for any changes in condition, reporting findings promptly to the healthcare team. Assist with resident assessments, documentation, and care planning . Provide wound care and other clinical procedures as needed. Support resident with activities of daily living, including mobility assistance and personal hygiene. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate residents and their families about health conditions, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards across all settings. Document all nursing activities thoroughly and accurately in medical records. Skills Proven experience in nursing home, retirement home; experience with dementia care, or hospice is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and patient safety procedures. Excellent resident care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including seniors and adults. Effective communication skills for working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to adapt to various healthcare environments such as assisted living or home care settings. Experience with medical office procedures an asset but not required.
