About the role LJ Welding Automation is seeking an inventory coordinator to join our receiving / materials team, reporting to the receiving supervisor. This role is responsible for the accurate control, movement, and visibility of inventory across the facility to support production, quality, and on-time delivery. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and is comfortable working independently while collaborating across departments. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system, including receipts, transfers, issues, and adjustments Conduct regular cycle counts and support physical inventory audits Investigate, document, and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely and thorough manner Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips; support receivers and purchasers with material-related issues Ensure all materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored in designated locations Coordinate incoming material inspections in collaboration with the quality team and in accordance with LJ''s QMS requirements Support material staging, kitting, and issuance for production and project needs Maintain organized, safe, and efficient storage areas across main and satellite warehouses Promote company-wide inventory strategies and support teams in their adoption and execution Provide accurate inventory data and reports to support planning and scheduling Adhere to established inventory and receiving procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives Participate in inventory-related process improvements, documentation, and training Support the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of inventory master data Assist with picking, staging, packaging, and loading/unloading materials during peak work periods as required Desired Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, receiving, or materials coordination within a manufacturing environment Experience supporting cycle counts and inventory audits preferred Experience in custom manufacturing, automation, or heavy industrial environments considered an asset Experience using ERP or inventory management systems required (Epicor Kinetic preferred) Understanding of BOMs, part numbering, and traceability requirements Diploma in a related field or parts ticket preferred Forklift certification (internal recertification provided) Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Comfortable working in a shop and warehouse environment What We''re Looking For A reliable, detail-focused professional with a strong sense of accountability Someone who values accuracy, organization, and follow-through Ability to work both independently and collaboratively A proactive mindset with an interest in continuous improvement Someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ready to Apply?
