More about the role This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Development & Support Engineer in Calgary with Signify. Own postcommercialrelease product support, including 3rdline manufacturing support, BOM/TPD maintenance, product changes, alternate component releases, and reapprobation activities. Manage product configuration and engineering updates, including reengineering, customization, lifecycle change control in PLM, and accurate processing to SAP/ERP. Drive product and process optimization through rootcause analysis, quality improvements, costdowns, digitization initiatives, and evaluation of new manufacturing technologies. Lead EngineeringtoOrder (ETO) activities, including design, technical documentation, prototype builds, testing, and crossfunctional collaboration with Quality, Assembly, and Manufacturing teams. Provide technical expertise across installation/luminaire applications, connected systems, regulatory compliance, staff training, and ensuring adherence to safety and approval standards. More about you While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening: Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, offering strong grounding in product design, manufacturing processes, and core engineering principles. Up to 1 year of product engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to BOM management, technical documentation, and product lifecycle or process improvement support. Proficiency in computeraided drafting (CAD), with the ability to create detailed drawings, brackets, and other mechanical design elements. Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software, with existing familiarity considered an asset (training can be provided). Strong mechanical aptitude paired with critical thinking and problemsolving skills to support design tasks and troubleshoot technical challenges effectively.
