Position Description Currently, Tetranex is seeking a full-time SPI Wiring Specialist/Electrical Designer. Responsibilities: Development and revisions of SPI wiring within existing databases. SPI wiring drawing production. Design and drafting of electrical, controls and instrumentation drawings including, but not limited to: motor control schematics, layouts, cable schedules, panel layouts, I/O schematics, wiring diagrams, etc. Assist in the development of project design, drafting deliverables and project work packages. Support of senior team resources in the development of design calculations and studies including, but not limited to: equipment & cable sizing and selection, voltage drop, cable tray fill, etc. Quality assurance and support of project schedule input and progress tracking. Communication and coordination with department and project team members as required. Mentor junior design resources to ensure that they are properly instructed in the performance of their assigned tasks. Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design from a recognized technical institute or comparable industry experience. Extensive experience in design applications in support of energy sector projects, specifically in the use of SmartPlant wiring within existing databases. Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD. 3D CAD and NavisWorks experience as asset. Solid working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code. Bluebeam Revu experience required. SmartPlant database creation an asset. Ability to work independently and in team environments. Strong work ethic as well as analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others.
