Job Description

Provide operational leadership, mentorship, and supervision to the programs staff Oversee program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure responsible resource utilization. Address operational challenges, providing solutions, guidance, and support to staff. Foster a positive team culture that prioritizes staff wellbeing, collaboration, and professional growth. Oversee staff onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training. Recommend policy and procedure improvements based on industry standards, trends, and organizational needs. Ensure completion, submission, and follow-up of incident reports or program-related documentation. Ensure data accuracy and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Advocate for community programs and development priorities internally and externally. Serve as a subject matter expert on program development, community engagement, and organizational growth strategies. Collaborate with the senior Leadership Team on strategic initiatives and organizational planning. Perform other duties as assigned. PROGRAM SPECIFIC: Oversee delivery of program specific policies and procedures for Harbour House. Ensuring these policies are current and meet standards of the industry and are followed by staff and volunteers involved in our programs. Monitors client-based information system. To ensure quality program delivery through staff support, training, mentorship, and coaching. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical reports. Conduct staff meetings on a consistent basis and ensure timely communication across the team. Provide strong leadership to foster a cohesive team environment that supports staff wellbeing and psychological safety. COMMUNITY: Represent the mission and values of YWCA Lethbridge & District at community events, partnerships, and networks. Participate in the Shelter partners or agencies to strengthen program operations and provincial alignment, ensuring participation does not impede core program needs. Provide education and training to partner agencies. volunteers, and other community groups upon request. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: Strong knowledge of domestic and sexual violence, trauma-informed practice, and gender-based violence. Strong project management and program coordination skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data; prepare reports; and support data-informed decisions. Knowledge of emerging trends in shelter operations and violence-prevention services. Practical experience in policy development and implementation. Ability to make sound decisions on sensitive and confidential issues. Strong written communication skills for creating, editing, and reviewing documents. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and discretion in managing confidential information.
