Job Description SGS is currently working in partnership with H2Safety to hire a Head of Software Strategy & Growth. As part of SGS, H2Safety is working towards globally advancing operational safety, digital transformation, & ESG performance across industries, including oil & gas, mining, transportation, utilities, renewables, and government. Responsibilities Technical Oversight & Product Development Establish & oversee formal product management processes, including roadmap governance, release planning & lifecycle management. Collaborate with the development team to balance business goals with software maintainability. Ensure delivery of highquality, scalable & secure applications. Prioritize features based on customer needs, market trends & business impact. Lead AIdriven automation to improve system intelligence, predictive capabilities & customer value. Ensure compliance with Emergency Management/ICS standards, product management best practices & regulatory requirements. Collaborate to adhere to SOCII & data residency requirements, working closely with IT, development & security partners. Drive adoption of emerging technologies, including AI & realtime data analytics. Maintain strong alignment between software development & customer needs by incorporating direct client feedback into product development cycles. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth Define & execute the software strategy in alignment with H2s broader business objectives. Own the financial performance of H2s software division, including forecasting, margin optimization & ROI on initiatives. Develop gotomarket strategies, pricing models & sales approaches to drive adoption & revenue growth. Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships & potential acquisitions. Represent H2s software solutions at industry events, conferences & client meetings. Meet regularly with existing & prospective clients to understand their needs & priorities. Integrate software into H2s broader service offerings, including training, emergency management & compliance solutions. Manage the full lifecycle of H2s software products, from concept to commercialization & market expansion. Operational Excellence & Team Leadership Lead & mentor a team of software developers & sales professionals to achieve business goals. Establish and refine processes for gathering & tracking client feedback, prioritization, support & continuous improvement. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Training & Emergency Management teams, to align solutions with client needs. Ensure robust customer support & training programs for software users. Manage budgets, vendor relationships & operational KPIs to optimize performance & profitability. Champion integration of H2s software platforms with internal systems & other business units. Create & track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success & growth of the software business. Build & execute a talent development & succession plan for the software organization. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software development & product management. 5-10 years of experience in business leadership roles within a technologydriven organization. Strong understanding of software business models, including SaaS, enterprise solutions & B2B sales. Proven ability to drive revenue growth, expand market share & lead sales strategies for software solutions. Experience managing technical teams, product development lifecycles & customer engagement initiatives. Strong grasp of software development methodologies, cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure), & cybersecurity best practices. Excellent leadership, communication & stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with ESRI or other GIS systems. Experience managing Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) claims, including documentation & compliance with tax incentive programs. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading SaaS business unit strategy, including pricing models, customer success & renewal management. Experience developing & executing partnership strategies with thirdparty technology vendors or integrators. Experience with Incident Command System (ICS) &/or Emergency Management (EM) software applications. Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the oil & gas, energy, or public safety sectors. Exposure to AIdriven analytics & realtime data solutions. Familiarity with SOCII compliance, particularly for software services. Exposure to mergers & acquisitions involving software assets. Demonstrated success in developing & executing software sales strategies, particularly in industrial & regulatory environments.
