Our all-inclusive platform provides a dynamic CRM, fundraising & giving tools, online donations & payment processing, built-in fund accounting system, integrated payroll, email marketing, website builder, and much more. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Team for Aplos. The ideal candidate will have proven Senior level experience in software development. They will utilize their skill set to collaborate with other senior technical leaders to design and build scalable distributed solutions, prioritizing performance, reliability and observability to ensure the customers user experience above all. This person will be joining the Platform Team, consisting of a team of engineers dedicated to creating and integrating a robust and scalable platform architecture to support our feature-based development teams. They will participate in design and build a strong foundation for our teams by providing shared services, frameworks and patterns that enable them to focus on delivering highquality features to our users. What will you be doing (your role)? Collaborate to develop highquality software designs and architecture for core platform systems Develop and maintain scalable and reliable microservices and APIs Maintain and transition legacy monolith platform Ensure patterns for instrumentation and observability Monitor and optimize system performance Prioritize, set and meet commitments Share technical expertise, mentor and provide technical guidance to the feature teams Ensure compliance of design specifications and engineering standards via code reviews What were looking for (requirements): Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a seniorlevel role. Expertise in highlevel programming languages, with Node.js required and Java a strong plus. Deep understanding of modern architecture patterns, including microservices, eventdriven design, reactive systems, and domaindriven design; familiarity with approaches such as the 12factor app methodology and C4 model diagrams. Handson experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure beneficial) and solid understanding of cloudnative design principles. Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Experience working in Agile environments, with the ability to decompose work and deliver incrementally on a schedule. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to align technical and business stakeholders Why work with us? If you need more convincing, heres the rest of it: Salary The salary range for this role is between $145,000 - $165,000 CAD. Your base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, experience, and geographic location.
