It serves numerous decision-makers across all areas of the company. Its team members are rigorous, efficient, and possess a strong understanding of the cooperatives business dynamics.**What this role entails:**As part of their responsibilities, the Legal Counsel will notably:* Participate in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of commercial contracts, including distribution, manufacturing, supply, service, purchase or sale, licensing agreements, real estate leases, confidentiality agreements, etc.;* Provide legal advice and opinions on various matters related to the cooperatives activities, including applicable legislation and regulations;* Handle and follow up on various litigation files, either internally or in collaboration with external counsel;* Participate in identifying risks and developing legal solutions for special projects;* Collaborate with other members of the Legal Affairs team to organize support for internal business units and improve processes (including precedent management and automation); and* Perform any other related legal tasks connected to the cooperatives activities.**At Agropur, we invest in YOU:*** Recognition of years of service for vacation calculation* 50% remote work flexibility* Flexible group insurance plan, including telemedicine services* Employee assistance program* Opportunities to invest in yourself (career development, etc.)* Retirement plan with company contributions* Bright offices surrounded by nature, offering a variety of services (free indoor parking, gym, etc.)* **Salary scale 006: $95,900 to $119,900** *(Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)***What you need to join our team:*** Hold a bachelors degree in law;* Be a member of the Quebec Bar and/or another Canadian province or a U.S. state;* Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in commercial law gained in a law firm and/or a corporate legal department;* Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written);* Ability to work as part of a team;* Capacity to manage multiple files simultaneously;* Experience in investment (CAPEX) and construction projects will be considered an asset;* Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite;* Ability to work with new technologies.#LI-PB1*Agropur welcomes people from all backgrounds and origins.
