Salary Range: CA$90,000.00 To CA$115,000.00 Annually WHO WE ARE Maxxit Group works closely with architects and contractors to translate design intent into beautiful, durable, easy-to-install architectural components for commercial and retail projects across North America. With manufacturing facilities in Toronto Ontario, Maxxit specializes in design assist, project management, and fabrication of innovative interior and exterior architectural solutions. ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, the Senior Designer provides leadership and manage architectural design projects, from initial concept to final fabrication and installation. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Leadandmanagearchitecturaldesignprojects,frominitial concepttofinal fabrication and installation. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, fabricators, and project managers toensuredesignsarebothcreativeandfeasible within project constraints. Produce detailed drawings, 3Dmodels, and design documents for fabrication and construction teams. Develop and implement design solutions that balance aesthetic goals with technical requirements, such as material selection, structural integrity, and fabrication limitations. Overseetheprototypingandtestingofdesignconcepts,ensuringqualityand functionality. Review and ensure that design work adheres toindustrystandards, building codes, and company specifications. Coordinate with the fabrication team to resolve design issues that arise during production. Mentor designteammembersandprovide leadership ondesign processes, helping them grow professionally and expand their skills. Stay up to date with industry trends, fabrication techniques, and new materials, contributing innovative ideas to the design team. Manage multiple projects simultaneouslywhile maintaining a high levelof attention to detail and meeting deadlines. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor''''s or Master''''s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of professional design experience inarchitectural fabrication or a related industry. Proficiency indesign software, including AutoCAD, Rhino,SolidWorks, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experiencewithparametricdesigntoolsis aplus. Strong understanding of architectural materials, fabrication processes, and construction methods. Ability to create detailed technical drawings, construction documents, and 3D models. Proven experience inmanagingandleadingdesign projects fromconcept to production. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a hands-on approach todesignandfabricationchallenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients,fabricators, and multidisciplinaryteams. A portfolio demonstrating a high levelof design innovation, technical proficiency, and fabrication expertise. Preferred Skills Experiencewithlarge-scaleorcustomarchitecturalinstallations. Familiarity with CNC machining, 3D printing, and other advanced fabrication techniques. Knowledge ofsustainable design practicesandenvironmentallyconscious materials. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
