Purpose Contributes to the development of worldclass digital services providing excellent experiences on the mobile platforms that touch millions of Scotiabank customers every day. Contributes to the overall success of the Digital Banking Unit in Canada, ensuring that specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the teams business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities Champions a customerfocused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Work with product owners and business system analysts to refine ticket requirements in JIRA and Confluence, review pull requests, and implement documented designs. Collaborate closely with backend API developers, Android & iOS app developers, business system analysts, and architects to work on both new features and incremental improvements to the banks flagship mobile app and provide technical expertise toward the success of the development team. Adheres to and demonstrates good coding conventions and best practices, and continuously brings new & exciting ideas for enhancing the application architecture and performance. Stays on top of peer reviews, actively contributing suggestions and catching potential issues. Understands how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Skills A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant education/experience. 5 or more years of NodeJS and microservices development (conceptualization, design, and development) experience, including experience with deploying them in cloud (native or hybrid) environments. Strong knowledge of how to design & define REST API using OpenAPI specification. Experience with at least one NodeJS framework, preferably ExpressJS, and JavaScript toolsets (ES6+, #J-18808-Ljbffr
