Location This position is based out of Calgary, AB with opportunity for flexible work options. Travel will be required on occasion, including into the US. Responsibilities Take leadership and ownership of project initiatives as required. Perform complex calculations and apply standards and specifications correctly without supervision. Review project team engineering and design deliverables. > Demonstrate critical data analysis and problem solving skills in meeting project challenges as they arise. Represent the engineering team in client, project management and vendor meetings and communications. Review vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met. Ensure stakeholder vendor document review engagement and coordinate and resolve stakeholder comments. Assign tasks to parish staff keep track of work loading, progress and project schedule. Lead midtolargesize projects or proposals. Develop and leads design improvement and cost savings initiatives. Apply techniques/technologies to improve processes and business results. Utilize industry and company standards/tools to achieve effective engineering and design. Serve as resource and mentor to less experienced engineers. Lead projects in how to interpret and apply codes and standards. Lead team in identifying and communicating project scope changes through project execution. Produce design changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule. Recognize engineering responsibility for public health, safety and environmental stewardship. #J-18808-Ljbffr
