A career in our International Tax Desk practice within International Tax services offers you the opportunity to assist multinational companies with their cross-border tax needs, managing global tax rates, identifying cost reduction areas, and responding to regulatory inquiries. You will gain a global perspective and an understanding of tax issues arising from evolving business structures and geographic expansions. Our team advises clients on tax laws, reporting, legislation, and planning strategies based on specific geographies and jurisdictions. Your role will involve supporting our team with local tax laws, reporting requirements, statutory filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and other international taxation needs. Planning and reviewing US federal, state, and local tax compliance projects for diverse clients. Assisting clients with US tax needs, including reorganizations, loss limitations, earnings stripping, etc. Supporting cross-border mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, planning, financing structures, and post-merger integration. Participating in business development activities to identify and research new or existing client opportunities. Enhancing technical knowledge for yourself and your team. Staying updated on local and national business and economic issues affecting clients. Building internal relationships and promoting the PwC brand. Experience and skills youll need to solve Experience in US Federal and state corporate income tax. US CPA or Canadian CPA or relevant professional designation. Completion of a Masters of US Taxation is an asset. Experience with US domestic and international tax issues, including research. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Experience with tax software like OneSource or GoSystem and research tools such as Checkpoint, BNA, or CCH is an asset. PwC Canada is committed to fostering an inclusive, hybrid work environment.
