GENERAL MANAGER HORTICULTURE SUPPLY Grasslands Recruitment Specialists is seeking a fulltime General Manager for a leading horticultural specialist company in Canada. The position will be based in either Guelph, ON (preferred) or Kingsville, ON and will involve periodic travel across Eastern Canada and overseas. The General Manager will report directly to the International Commercial Director in the Netherlands and will drive commercial growth, operational excellence and team development for the Canadian business. Key Responsibilities Lead & develop a management team of seven, fostering a motivated, collaborative culture. Drive commercial success, delivering strong financial results and meeting annual growth, margin and EBIT targets. Execute the corporate global strategy locally and manage investment planning. Build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers and partners. Optimize processes, reduce risk and ensure scalable operations. Monitor performance metrics and make datadriven decisions. What Success Looks Like 3months establish trust and clear communication channels. 6months improve team cohesion and strengthen customer relationships. 12months deliver results aligned with growth and profitability targets. Qualifications 5+ years of management experience in a commercial trading business. Strong financial and commercial acumen. Experience leading teams and driving organisational performance. Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems. Background in horticulture or related agricultural sectors. Experience in covered horticulture and supply chain with knowledge of fertilizers, biocontrol, chemicals or plant strengtheners is preferred. Ready to Move Forward?
