BMO seeks an experienced technology leader who prioritizes and supports customerfacing and internal platforms, ensuring stability, accessibility, scalability, security, and continuous innovation. The incumbent will manage vendor relationships, coordinate crossfunctional teams, and align platform strategy with business objectives. Responsibilities Build relationships with stakeholders to understand the platform vision, align and deliver on the roadmap. Document business rules, functional/technical specifications, and process interpretations for assigned applications and systems. Analyze platform data to drive and implement optimizations. Undertake prioritisation of work for components used by customers and endusers. Understand the competitive and strategic position of the organization to deliver bestinindustry products. Ensure compliance with service and support agreements and standards. Manage technical requirements such as APIs and other platform components with a focus on security and resilience. Foster a culture aligned with BMO purpose, values and strategy and model BMO values and behaviours. Ensure alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion. Regularly connect work to BMOs purpose, set inspirational goals, define clear expected outcomes, and ensure accountability. Build interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups to create the highest value for all stakeholders. Attract, retain, and enable the career development of top talent. Improve team performance, recognise and reward performance, coach employees, support their development, and manage poor performance. Operate at a group/enterprisewide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders. Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and find solutions to complex problems. Implement changes in response to shifting trends. Qualifications Intermediate level of proficiency New product development User interface and user experience (UI/UX) design Cybersecurity and privacy concepts, principles and solutions Learning agility Creative thinking Emotional agility Advanced level of proficiency System design and implementation Application programming interface (API) management Product design Testdriven development DevOps Data collection and analysis Cloud computing Building and managing relationships Product management Value propositions Continuous improvement management Verbal & written communication skills Analytical and problemsolving skills Collaboration & team skills with a focus on crossgroup collaboration Able to manage ambiguity Datadriven decision making Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a postsecondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge Key Tech required for this role Loan IQ expertise, batch/operations, and environment oversight Integration & APIs IBM API Connect/DataPower, REST/JSON, and secure routing; familiarity with upstream/downstream systems Database & performance Oracle/SQL troubleshooting, monitoring, patch/change readiness Cloud technologies experience with AWS or Azure for API hosting, secure connectivity, and deployment automation Production support & release/change management incident/problem/change, CAB coordination, weekend release execution Salary and Pay Type Salary: $94,600.00 $176,000.00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Groups total compensation package will vary by pay type and may include performancebased incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
