Reporting to the President & CEO of Sinai Health Foundation, the Vice President, Finance is responsible for the Foundations finance, investment and audit functions, ensuring that fundraising resources are wellsupported by the Finance team and that financial processes conform to best practices and innovative thinking, in support of the Foundations goal of becoming a worldclass foundation. The Vice President, Finance is accountable for developing, managing and leading the financial stewardship of the Foundation and assets given to it as a public foundation supporting Sinai Health. The Vice President, Finance is the staff leader who, with the CEO, sets and leads implementation for the financial and accounting policies and financial reporting of the Foundation. This includes support of the Foundations Finance & Audit Committee; support of the Investment Committee in all aspects of the investment management including investment reporting, analysis, and execution of Board approved investment strategy; support of the Professional Advisory Council, as well as ensuring that the Board of Directors and all standing committees are properly supported with timely and accurate financial information, as appropriate; oversee gift processing; and work with the Sinai Health CFO to create systems and reporting to track progress on numerous capital and research projects, including special purpose capital projects, and regular donations to support beneficiaries throughout Sinai Health. This position requires previous, senior leadership in financial accounting and investment management, and previous experience in nonprofit financial (fund) accounting. The incumbent will have a strong ability to manage staff and work with sophisticated volunteers across a full span of programs in a positive and productive manner. Qualifications: 15+ years of progressive senior financial management experience in a complex organization providing comptrollership, financial reporting, planning and analysis, as well as corporate financing and strategic long term cash flow planning in support of critical projects. Financial accounting experience in a nonprofit and healthcare environment is a definite asset. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to board members, hospital colleagues, senior volunteers and other key stakeholders is essential. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills appropriate to a variety of circumstances involving donors, employees and board members, as well as external stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to professional development. Demonstrated leadership skills in motivating staff and delivering projected outcomes. Demonstrated capacity to work with board volunteer committees and senior donors. Demonstrated change management skills with a proven record of facilitating an environment of industry leading practices and standards. Creative, analytical, detailoriented with solid management and problemsolving skills. Recognized ability to provide innovative leadership in a dynamic environment and to work collaboratively with all levels of leaders. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans with expertise in identifying and executing ongoing process improvement and the achievement of performance targets. Excellent networking and relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders. Advanced understanding of information technology; experience in the implementation and integration of technologies; experience with AI is an asset.
