This unique individual must possess excellent communication skills in customer relations, be aggressive in targeting new business and exceed established goals for their market segment. In addition, they will develop new clients for boosting hotel sales. We are looking for a dynamic, proactive person who can take the initiative and maintain as well as build the existing client base. We are currently considering candidates for the following position: Director of Sales The successful candidate''''s responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Research & develop new corporate business for the Hotel through direct outside & inside Sales Devise and deploy all sales goals and objectives across their region, including the preparation of sales quotas and budgets. Integrate and align sales strategies with available talent, processes, IT systems, and other areas to increase sales force capability and success. Develop and implement quarterly and/or annual sales plans, policies, and programs for all sales managers. Create training and development plans for sales managers. Conduct analysis to manage sales performance against corporate objectives and market developments. Plan and execute trade show appearances. Create product segmentation strategies where needed to maximize business opportunities across various sales channels. Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals. Maximize relationships with key retail travel agencies. Communicate brand identity internally to pertinent business units, key business partners, and the customer base. Collaborate with the executive team to develop short- and longterm strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans. Provide input from sales including growth, competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment for strategic planning processes. Conduct regular analysis on pricing effectiveness and recurring trends; create actionable item lists based on findings. Attend regular revenue management meetings for properties in region and review and enact strategies arising from the meetings with sales team members. Monitor internal pricing tools such as blockbuster to assess team members and GMs strategy for the group market. Requirements Post Secondary Education preferred. 3 years minimum of work experience in a management role in the hospitality sector. Strong experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning. Excellent grasp of brand building and articulation of value propositions. A welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills. Excellent teamwork and team building skills. Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct sales teams as it relates to retail agencies. Experience creating and managing budgets for a large, distributed department. Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills. Experience creating incentives and compensation plans. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and OSEM/Opera platform Ability to attend and conduct presentations. Overtime as required. Travel required as required.
