Role Overview Provides high quality sales and service to Indigenous Trust clients to deliver an exceptional client experience. Provides technical expertise for all aspects of Trust account management and administration to ensure compliance. Works collaboratively within the regional and national team as part of the client/relationship management solution. Identifies and makes referrals to other business groups as appropriate. This Trust professional oversees a book of Indigenous Trust business in Ontario and Eastern Canada, with flexibility in location. Requires ongoing travel to visit Indigenous Trust clients in their communities and/or at their chosen meeting venues. Key Responsibilities Oversee the provision of content and marketing materials for new business proposals (e.g., requests for proposal, special fee arrangements, technical information materials); ensure new business meets policy and procedures requirements for profitability and risk management. Identify opportunities to grow existing relationships and develop new business. Makes presentations to clients/prospects in conjunction with others based upon their needs. Manages trust or agency accounts in the role of trustee. Act as the Relationship Manager to assigned clients and effectively interact with others assigned to the client/relationship team. Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group. Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies. Manage resources and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals. Help determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy. Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders. Ensure alignment between stakeholders. Act as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders. Break down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations. Monitor and track performance, and address any issues. Produce regular and ad-hoc reports, and update dashboards. May provide specialized support for other internal and external regulatory requirements. Lead/participate in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes. Review the program for effectiveness, consider industry trends, and recommend enhancements; make changes as required. Identify business needs, design/develop tools and training programs; may include delivery of training to audiences. Perform sales & service support activities as required to meet client needs and maintain overall service levels. Meet high-quality service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth. Develop rapport and instill confidence with the client to develop credibility and earn their trust. Follow through on the risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure we safeguard our customers assets, maintain their privacy, act in their best interests, and ensure an effectively run function. Protect the Bank''''s assets and comply with all regulatory, legal and ethical requirements. Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders. Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine. Implement changes in response to shifting trends. Qualifications Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and postsecondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors degree in Finance or a related legal or accounting field preferred. Indepth/expert knowledge of Trust Administration processes and procedures. Indepth/expert knowledge of Trust Tax, Trust Accounting, and Investment Management. Indepth/expert knowledge of fiduciary laws including trust planning techniques and relevant tax regulations. Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge. Verbal & written communication skills Indepth / Expert.
