Purpose Create and develop relationships supportive of the Baker Group mission statement with employees, internal and external clients. Provide opportunities to increase business unit revenues by marketing and cross-selling products and services provided by Baker Group. Manage projects from design to owner training, maintaining and growing the ''''Client for Life'''' concept for existing and new clients. Assist the team by providing inspiring day-to-day leadership of the Business Unit. Coach, mentor, and train future leaders. Support sales efforts to secure potential business. Responsible for project execution, documentation, financials, and client satisfaction. Perform related work as required. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Deep understanding of automation systems, construction, and mechanical and electrical systems. Collaborate with all Baker Group Business Units. Offer and implement solutions through engineering and field personnel. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and revenue opportunities. Educate clients on Baker Group capabilities and cross-sell services. Use internal estimating software to develop solutions, review with team, and ensure deliverability. Act as account manager during project execution. Participate in scheduling, project meetings, and client communications. Manage project scope, safety, timelines, and subcontract procurement. Use standard documents for business development, proposals, turnovers, subcontracts, and warranties. Ensure financial success of projects. Accurately report time and equipment usage. Mentor project managers, engineers, and system engineers. Assist in marketing and business development efforts. Lead Tier III Business Development Pursuits. Minimum Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred. At least 10 years of experience in automation and HVAC systems. At least 5 years in estimating, managing automation projects, and client relationship growth. Valid drivers license and pass background check. Competencies Leadership, team management, and profitability skills. Advanced control systems knowledge. Effective delegation, prioritization, communication, and training abilities. Risk management and problem-solving skills. Integrity, honesty, and adherence to company culture and community involvement. Environmental & Physical Normal office conditions; fieldwork may involve standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Exposure to various weather conditions possible.
