The role Youll build and own a portfolio of applications built and run on top of the Shakudo OSendtoendfrom design and implementation to quality, release, and iteration. Applications run onand are hosted bythe Shakudo OS. Shakudo is a Kubernetesbased system powered by Python. Our apps use Next.js with shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS, and a Python backend. We believe in picking the right tool for the job. If another technology is a better fit for a use case, well use it. Examples of what we build Convert APIs to MCP servers Extract structured information from documents Chat app over large knowledge bases Frequently Asked Questions Is Shakudo in-person, remote, or distributed? Primarily in-person. We operate as an onsite team to enable fast feedback loops and ship quickly, so youll work alongside the team in the office most days. We also have hubs in San Francisco and India, so theres some cross-location collaboration, but the core experience is in-office. Where is the office? Our Toronto office is located near John and Adelaide. Whats the interview process? We build an infrastructure-focused product. Because of its deeply technical nature, our interview process emphasizes technical skills while respecting everyones time.
