Senior Technical Analyst (Solaris/RedHat Linux Specialist) Scotiabank Toronto, Ontario, Canada Requisition ID: 239236 Overview Join a purposedriven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and highperforming culture. As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will provide systemslevel support for over 3,000 missioncritical application production and nonproduction servers. Responsibilities Technical troubleshooting and providing solutions to complex issues, including capacity planning and recommendations. Project work and collaboration with multiple team members. Participation in semiannual Disaster Recovery (DR) failover testing as outlined in bank policies and procedures, ensuring DR functionality. Updating policies and procedures as required. Occasional overtime and rotational 24x7 oncall support. Requirements 8+ years of handson technical experience with RedHat Linux (v7/8/9) and Solaris (v10/11). 8+ years of experience troubleshooting Oracle Sparc and x86 hardware products. 5+ years of experience with Veritas/Symantec Storage Foundation, Veritas/Symantec Cluster Services. 5+ years of experience with NIS, NFS, Solaris Zones, SolarLogical Domains. Experience supporting Cloud environments. Experience with Centrify and IDM. Strong scripting skills (shell, Perl) and Ansible automation. Excellent communication and problemsolving skills. Postsecondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Desired Skills Excellent communication (verbal and written). Experience with Veritas cluster services and storage management. Experience with SAN/NAS storage systems. Comfort with project management functions from assessment to implementation.
