Core Networking & Infrastructure: > Hardware Platforms: * Dell EMC Servers: Experience with modern Dell hardware for virtualization and storage. * Cisco Networking: Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus (9K, 3K, 6K), and ASR routers/switches for core, edge, and fabric connectivity. * Palo Alto Firewalls: Design and management of HA firewall clusters for secure segmentation. * Meraki MX & Cisco ASA: For VPN, remote access, and site-to-site connectivity. * VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter: Deep expertise in VMware stack for host consolidation, VM management, and live migration (vMotion). * VxRail: Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure for scalable compute and storage. > Storage & Backup * Experience in migrating workloads across NFS-mounted datastores between sites, ensuring permissions, shares, and namespace consistency during cutovers. * Proficient with NAS backup jobs, proxy configuration, and restoring to alternate datastores during post-migration validation. * Dell EMC Isilon, Oracle ZS3: NAS/SAN configuration, NFS/CIFS, backup media agents (DataDomain, Avamar). * Backup Networking: Understanding of backup flows, storage migration, and disaster recovery. Key Responsibilities Own the highlevel and lowlevel design for data center exit, consolidation, or modernization. Develop target state architectures and transition states (roadmaps, waves, and cutover strategies). Lead discovery and dependency mapping for applications, data, and infrastructure services. Define migration methodologies (live, replicationassisted, bulk cold moves) aligned to SLAs. Architect network segmentation and IP addressing strategies for nonoverlapping multisite deployments. Specify storage and data movement approaches for block, file, and object workloads. Establish resiliency, DR, and backup patterns; validate RPO/RTO and failover procedures. Create runbooks for pilot, bulk, and critical cutovers with rollback criteria and success metrics. Govern platform standards (compute, virtualization, storage, network, security) and configuration baselines. Lead technical risk management, change control, and issue triage during migration waves. Coordinate with security, compliance, and audit stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements. Mentor engineering teams; ensure knowledge transfer and operational readiness in the target environment.
