Manager, Software Engineering (Edge Traffic) Join to apply for the Manager, Software Engineering (Edge Traffic) role at Affirm . What Youll Do Lead engineering teams responsible for Edge Traffic Infrastructure, ensuring our networking architecture evolves and remains resilient to affirms growing needs. Define and deliver a vision, strategy, and roadmap on a year-long time scale for ingress and egress points of our system, tying that roadmap back to business impact. Collaborate across teamsinfrastructure, security, and other engineering teamsto build reliable, secure, and scalable networking infrastructure that meets the needs of our external partners and internal teams. Improve key metrics for availability, performance, and resiliency. Take ownership of your teams operations and availability by ensuring the right monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, testing and alerting are in place to support oncall efforts. Foster a culture of quality and ownership on your team by setting code review and design standards and advocating for them beyond your team through writing and tech talks. Help develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance, and leading by example. What We Look For 7+ years of engineering experience with 2+ years leading teams focused on infrastructure, networking, compute, or distributed systems. Proven track record in stakeholder management, ownership, and successful delivery. Expertise in managing largescale, geographically distributed cloud infrastructure systems centered on compute, networking, or databases. Expertise in scaling networking infrastructure like CDN, Load Balancers, or API Gateways. Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure and vendors like Cloudflare, Fastly, or Akamai. Experience delivering major features, system components or deprecating existing functionality in a system through the definition of a technical and execution plan. Write highquality code that is easily understood and used by others. Thriving in ambiguity, comfortable moving from lowlevel language idioms to the architecture of large systems to understand how they work. Growth and impact trajectory demonstrating mastery in gathering and iterating on feedback from engineering and crossfunctional peers. Strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team. Pay Grade 9 Equity Grade 7 Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents).
