About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced UI Designer / Visual Designer to join our Data Cognition Team at BMO Capital Markets. In this role, you will craft the look and feel of our AI-enabled products, ensuring visually compelling, intuitive and accessible interfaces for complex financial applications. You will collaborate closely with UX research, engineering and product teams to deliver designs that balance aesthetics, usability and technical feasibility. Our Team The Data Cognition Team (DCT) delivers scalable sustainable AIdriven solutions for multiple business units. We combine cuttingedge technology with usercentered design principles to create products that are powerful, elegant and aligned with client needs. Key Responsibilities Design AIpowered products at various levels of fidelity, from early sketches to live experiences. Use storyboards, wireframes and prototypes to explore and refine new ways for financial experts to interact with AI. Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure designs align with brand objectives and deliver measurable results. Work closely with UX researchers, engineers, product managers, fullstack engineers, data scientists and AI engineers to align with business and production goals. Design with privacy, accessibility and compliance (WCAG standards) and trust at the core of every interaction. Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies and best practices in financial services and AIdriven interfaces. Qualifications Bachelors degree or higher in Design, HCI, Visual Communication or a related field. 0-3 years of experience in UI/Visual design for complex digital products. Proficiency with design tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, GitHub, Linear. Familiarity with responsive design, design systems, accessibility standards and AI/ML workflow visualization. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver pixelperfect designs. Strong communication skills for collaboration with crossfunctional teams. Nice to Have Exposure to AIdriven interfaces and data visualization. Experience in financial services or fintech. Familiarity with motion design and microinteractions. Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML/CSS) for effective collaboration with developers. Salaried position.
