Job Purpose Within Citi''''s Fixed Income eTrading organization, the Post Trade Feed/Straight Through Processing (STP) team ensures the efficient and accurate flow of financial transaction data from execution to settlement. This involves managing and optimizing automated processes that capture, validate, enrich, and transmit trade details across various internal systems and external market participants. Key responsibilities include monitoring trade feeds for completeness and accuracy, identifying and resolving exceptions or breaks in the STP workflow, and collaborating with front office, middle office, and back office teams to enhance process efficiency and reduce operational risk. The team plays a crucial role in maintaining data integrity, improving processing speed, and supporting regulatory compliance by ensuring timely and precise posttrade operations for Fixed Income eTrading activities. Role Overview This is a dedicated Java backend development team. Members are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems and services that power the Post Trade Feed/STP processes. This includes developing highperformance Java applications for trade capture, data validation, enrichment, and communication with various internal and external systems. The role involves continuous code optimization, implementing sophisticated logic for exception handling, ensuring system resilience, and leveraging modern Java frameworks and technologies to deliver cuttingedge solutions for the Fixed Income eTrading business. Required Qualifications 5+ years of handson Java development experience, including expertise with Spring or another dependency injection framework 5+ years experience developing and maintaining highly scalable, realtime, lowlatency, highvolume microservices Experience with realtime messaging middleware (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, Tibco, etc.) Experience working with multithreaded applications Strong software development fundamentals, data structures, design patterns, OOP, architecture, algorithms, and problemsolving skills Application deployment and debugging of applications on UNIX/LINUX Nice to Have Understanding of capital markets and financial derivatives (rates or other) Experience with system performance tuning and lowlatency Java programming Handson experience in database technologies, including RDBMS (Oracle, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB) Experience with inmemory datastore/cache libraries (Redis, Apache Ignite, Gemfire, etc.) Experience with CI/CD pipelines Testdriven development, including unit and endtoend testing Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage business users Selfmotivated with determination to achieve goals Willingness to learn, both technically and professionally Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Good teamworking skills and ability to work in a distributed global team environment Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment; flexible and able to deliver quality results within required timeframes Job Family Group: Technology Job Family: Applications Development Time Type: Full time Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $94,300.00 $141,500.00 Referral opportunities: Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Citi by 2x.
