Engineering Manager Minerals & Metals AtkinsRalis is dedicated to engineering a better future for our planet and its people. The Minerals and Metals team in Canada, comprising more than 400 employees, works on largescale mining projects worldwide, focusing on sustainability, pittoport, metallurgical plant engineering, and mine closure. We are seeking a highly experienced and handson Engineering Manager to lead Concept, PreFeasibility (PFS), Feasibility (FS), FrontEnd Engineering Design (FEED) studies and detailed engineering (DE) for mineral processing projects, with a focus on copper and gold. Location Toronto, Ontario Vancouver, British Columbia Responsibilities Lead and manage Concept, PFS, FS, and FEED studies for mineral processing projects, particularly in copper and gold. Oversee crossfunctional engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Develop and control project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Conduct structured tradeoff studies and risk assessments to support decisionmaking. Ensure technical quality and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Engage in process design, equipment selection, vendor coordination, and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in project execution and study methodologies. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; Masters or PhD is an asset. 1520 years of experience in mineral processing, focusing on copper and/or gold, including managing PFS, FS, and FEED studies in the mining sector and advanced technologies in mineral processing and battery materials. Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario/Quebec or eligible for P.Eng status in any Canadian province is an asset. 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large and smallscale projects within Mining and Metals; bilingual (English/French) is an asset. Strong understanding of process flowsheets, equipment integration, constructability, and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, @Risk) and engineering software (SmartPlant3D, AutoCAD). Operational and site experience in mineral processing plants, familiarity with project safety standards, and ability to drive a safety culture; excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
